Running FCU Units on a Dry Cooler

Dear All,

How do you suggest the modeling of a building where FCU units are
provided with chilled water from dry coolers? Dry coolers can only be
modeled as heat rejection devices on condenser loops. FCU units have to
be assigned a chilled water loop. Is there a way to model this?

Thanks,

Hi,

Didn't get that to work unfortunately. I always have zero flow on my
condenser loop attached to the waterside economizer.

Wouldn't it also be possible to model water cooled chillers with zero
energy consumption (EIR=0) and than the only energy used by the system
would the dry cooler fans?

Thanks,

Doesn't the dry cooler have some sort of heat pump or chiller to take heat from the space and reject it to the condensing loop?
