eQuest Toolbar Icons too Small

I am using a MS Surface Pro 4 with has a rather fine resolution at 2736 x 1842. This has apparently caused the toolbar at the top of the eQuest program to show very small icons, and available adjustments do not help. Is anyone aware of a way to increase the icon size on the toolbar?

Thank you,

Hi Bob,

I've had the same "interface for ants" problem for some time now with my SP3 (starting with Windows 8.1), but I just found a solution in this guide: http://www.danantonielli.com/adobe-app-scaling-on-high-dpi-displays-fix/

Requires a single registry edit addition, then copying a text file he provides and renaming it to eQUEST.exe.manifest and placing alongside the eQUEST.exe executable (for me in C:\Program Files (x86)\eQUEST 3-65). No rebooting required.

The result is on par with what I'm used to on 1920 x 1080 displays & similar. Not quite large enough to make touchscreen navigation super easy, but definitely much more navigable with a mouse.

This should work to fix other scaling problems on a per-application basis for other platforms/software as well.

Nick, thank you for the guidance. I think I will try to pass this on the Microsoft as well.

Nick,

I am running a 15" 4k display on my HP spectre windows 10 laptop and had the small icons issue also.  It is more than small icons, in that some of the graphics are small and others overly large and they can overlap and hide each other. The above fix corrected most of the problems, but not all, and created a new issue:

- The D2SimViewer dropdown menu remains extremely small.  The output sheets themselves are fine.  I tried installing a manifest file for this executable also, but it didn't change the dropdown menu size.

- A bigger issue is that eQUEST popup boxes (such as for changing properties in detail mode) don't display any cell description text in them.  The data entry boxes are still there with the current values displayed and they can be edited, but the description text is gone.

Surely some other eQUEST uses have 4k displays and am hoping someone has found a work around.

Many thanks,

Dan Ellis
