Modeling of water to water heat exchanger in chilled water loops

Hello all,

I am modeling a high rise office building (40 floors). In the HVAC side,
the chiller has primary secondary pumping configuration. The secondary
pumps will distribute chilled water to the building floors via two separate
(low rise and high rise) chilled water risers. The high rise piping will be
decoupled from the chiller plant via a
plate frame heat exchanger and a chilled water pump with variable frequency
drive.

Any suggestion how can I modeled in equest the two separate (low rise and
high rise) chilled water risers and coupling of a heat exchanger in between
them?

Thanks in advance.

My initial thought we be to assign the primary pump to the chiller, then make another circulation loop as a secondary loop to the default chilled water loop and assign pumps based on your high/low rise loop. You will need to reduce the capacity and adjust eir of your chiller to account for the loss through your heat exchanger.
