Modeling in ASHRAE 90.1 2016 (Matthew S. Garlick)

1 post / 0 new

Hello Matthew,

are your building your baseline according ASHRAE 90.1- 2016 for LEED v4.1?

It is true that ASHRAE 90.1- 2016 is a bit different from 2010.
In 2016 there are different table for proposed building and for baseline..

The baseline according 2016 in most cases consumes more energy than a
baseline according 2009.

But if you use it for the credit "Optimize Energy performance of LEED v4.1"
then the equation for becoming the points is [( PCIt- PCI)/ PCIt ]*100,

and there commes in the equation PCIt the BPF factor according Table
4.2.2.1 ASHRAE, and this makes it difficult to achieve the points.....

I hope my considerations helped.....

Best regards to all
