I am researcher at Italy and i want to know if someone knows Modelica
software and does anyone can put light on How to use it for the simulation
purpose for the buildings. Any help will be much appreciated.
there are several libraries out there that you can look into. For example start on the Modelica website:
https://www.modelica.org/libraries
Annex 60 ( http://iea-annex60.org/ ) is an effort to build a tool chain for building energy simulations. Several institutions work together to organize their Modelica building simulation libraries so that the exchange of models becomes easy. Most participants will have their own libraries that might be available already.
For example have a look at ?Buildings? library for energy systems simulation:
http://simulationresearch.lbl.gov/modelica/
For AixLib we are currently working on porting most of our old libraries that cover models for building and HVAC systems. However, there are already quite a few models that might be interesting for you in AixLib.Building to model envelope and zones.
Regards,
Peter

To add to Thierry's and Peter's email, I also like to mention the upcoming
GENSIM workshop, organized by IBPSA-France and IEA EBC Annex 60, Oct 24-28
in Corsica. The workshop will have training in Modelica for building and
district energy system simulation. Developers of the AixLib,
BuildingSystems, IDEAS and Buildings libraries will be present to give
hands-on training in Modelica. At the workshop, there will also be
discussion about the upcoming IBPSA Project 1 that further develops and
demonstrates Modelica and BIM/GIS translations for building and district
energy systems.
See http://www.ibpsa.fr/ for more information and registration for the
workshop, and https://ibpsa.github.io/project1/ for the IBPSA Project 1.
There currently is no similar workshop planned for the United States. The
workshop in France has been made possible largely due to IBPSA-France
sponsoring the event.
There is however Modelica training, demonstrations and presentations
planned for the Modelica North America User's Group Meeting in Troy,
Michigan, Sept. 28-29. We expect to post the agenda next week at
http://na.modelica-users.org/2016/08/21/namug2016.html
Hi Rasheed,
I will suggest as resources to take a look at

Hi Michael,
Are there any plans to have a similar training session in the United States?
Thank you,
