loop flow

Hi all,

As I know the capacity of my chiller, condenser and boiler I try to
allocate the value in the detailed mode. This is working fine but in the
PV-A report I can see that for example the chiller has the allocated
capacity but the flow of the chilled water loop and the flow through the
chiller is different. How can this happen ? I mean I have a single
system pump it is one loop the chiller is directly connected to the
chilled water loop ( mass conservation ? ). When I want to allocate a
capacity to my condenser I always get the error message

***ERROR****************************************************************
*******

Pump: CW Loop Pump has zero design
flow. If attached to

a DHW loop, make sure the recirculation flow is

nonzero.

But I connected the loop to the chiller and I put a temperature
difference, there should be a flow ? I attach also a screen shot from my
water side set up I hope someone can help me.

Thanks a lot.

Try setting your loop sizing to primary rather than secondary. Primary
sizes the loop based on the chiller capacity -- good if your primary
equipment sizing is known. Secondary sizes the loop based on the coils
attached to the loop -- good if you are autosizing your equipment. The
default is secondary.

Thanks it is better but i still have a different flow in the loop and

CW Loop Pump 1 PUMP(s)
Condenser Water Loop 5194.8 cfm
PRIMARY LOOP

Chiller1 (1StageAbs)
ABSOR-1 Chilled Water Loop 21.000 3347.9 0.004 1.429 0.000
Condenser Water Loop 48.505 5983.5
Hot Water Loop -28.479 1422.8

Do I have to worry about it ? I am pretty sure sth is wrong.

Hi all,

i modeled a dry cooler and i saw i have to input the dry delta T temperature. The help states " The value is the difference between the entering fluid temperature and the entering air temperature ". My fluid has a temperature 37?C entering and 26?C leaving the dry cooler but I do not know the entering air temperature I mean that depends on the weather. Or does it mean that is the difference temperature the cooling tower is working without any fluids used? I tried several values and only 50 F is working but I do not know why.

Thanks.
