I have exported the equest inp file into a folder and was trying to import into equest .When i try to import into equest its giving me bunch of errors and cant see any building description or anything. If anyone has tried this before , please help me with the process.

You have to just open the input file - not use the import file menu item.
say open file, change the file type to all files and that should work.
