Dear All:

I?m looking for a list where I could find every single hvac system
described, like VRF, PVVT, etc. Hardly to familiarize with them, where
systems and equipment are described in other language, so, my point is,
let?s say, to make a parallel with them.

any suggestions will be considered.

best.

Hey all,

Has anyone ever had a model accepted that uses the NIGHT-CYCLE-CTRL = ZONE FANS ONLY option? I have an underfloor system that uses fan powered boxes at the perimeter zones for heat. I had tried the strategy on another project and it was rejected. The reason given was that because my baseline was system 6 and they said that it was a ECM inherent in having fan powered boxes. My current project is a system 5 so it would seem that the previous comment given would not apply. I want to try and use that strategy again but I wanted to know if anyone else had any experience trying to get that option accepted by a reviewer.

I use this option whenever applicable in my proposed and baseline systems.
I can't understand why it would cause an issue with the reviewer unless
you were trying to claim that your proposed system only used zone fans
while your baseline system 6 turned the AHU on.

As you say, the baseline system does not have zone fans and thus has no
option but to run the AHU at night. Your proposed system should be modeled
and controlled as described in the project documents. If the description
of operations states that the AHU will not activate on a call for night
heating, then the zone fans only option would be applicable.
