HRVs with Active Chilled Beams

Thank you for the reply Bill. I have not yet tried modeling the system as IU yet but might have to if I can?t get the work-around to work for me.

I just want to understand how eQuest is modeling my inputs. Right now I have a Single Zone Reheat system with a dummy zone attached to it, currently with no loads in the dummy zone. Outdoor air from the SZR system is attached to FCUs, UFAD, displacement ventilation and chilled beam systems. I?ve modeled the FCUs, UFAD & displacement vent. systems as a FCU system type in eQuest and the Chilled Beams as an IU system in eQuest. In eQuest, you cannot input any info on R/A for a Fan Coil system, while you can for an IU system.

What I want is the return air from all zones to make it back to the HRV but eQuest is not seeing any R/A. So for the HRV to see a higher R/A temp I have to add a load to the dummy zone? Will eQuest see this load before it delivers outside air to the other systems? Or does the air get distributed to the dummy zone and other systems concurrently? Thanks for any clarifications.
