The Company
Integrated Environmental Solutions Ltd. develops the Virtual Environment building simulation software, which enables practitioners from the AEC Industry to design high quality and innovative buildings, while minimizing impact on the environment.

Job Description
You will be responsible for providing support to our Business Development Managers and clients. Responsibilities include the following:

* Assisting consulting engineers and architects with building performance simulation (energy modeling, daylight modeling, etc.) and providing energy conservation recommendations for building projects

* Assisting the in-house IES business-development management team with technical expertise for onboarding technical software users (engineers, architects, energy consultants)

* Preparing educational studies, white papers and presentation material related to building performance modeling

* Providing technical expertise to software customers, business partners, and coordination with other internal and external resources to ensure proper technical support

* Increasing the awareness of building performance modeling to technical stakeholders. This can be through live or recorded presentations or creation of material for social media networks.

* Technical training and guiding software users with technical workflow-related issues. Occasional travel within the U.S. may be required.

* Occasional building performance consulting projects for clients, writing reports, etc.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

* Bachelors or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or other related discipline.

* 1-2 years minimum experience in HVAC industry, related to the building performance engineering industry.

* Knowledge of Building Code Compliance Standards such as IECC, Title 24, ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1, 170 and 55.

* Knowledge of heat transfer principals, building envelope and HVAC systems.

* Energy modeling skills with IESVE Software, though alternative software would be considered.

* The successful candidate should have business insight to succeed in the role and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable:

* Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural or other related engineering discipline.

* Experience in educating business partners on technical issues would be preferable.

* Preferred LEED Accredited.

* Preferred Python scripting skills.
