Heating and Cooling Loads per Hours for a thermal zone

Hello to all equest users,

I am searching the Loads (Total Losses and Gains) of a thermal zone per
hour.
I did following step (see screenshot)
If the Sensible Load is >0 then It is a cooling load,
if it is <0 it is a heating load.

For all the building I can see all the information per hour concerning
loads for the thermal zone I can't find more information.

Do you have a suggestion or comment?

Thank you very much.
I appreciate all the help I get from this forum

Hi Konstantina,

I would like to suggest the theory behind the scene.
The sensible load comes in eQUEST by the following super-headed things:

1. Occupancy
2. Space lighting
3. Equipment loads
4. Outside area space heat gain.
5. Infiltration

Latent heat in my sense comes from:

1. Occupancy
2. Infiltration.

Now the sensible heat gain is the real temperature value to be going high.
Now the 5 cases are like the occupancy heat gain from the person is the
real cause for the sensible load to be parting up in the temperature going
up.
Space lighting and equipment load has some part as the fraction of input
LPD , EPD part to behave as the sensible load which is drawn from the real
input with sensible heat gain fraction to the space.
Outside area gain and the infiltration gets involved with the outside heat
to get transferred in the space and make the temperature higher.

Latent heat is the heat from occupants and the outside heat infiltrated air
to come inside the room with moisture to let the wet bulb temperature to be
going higher,
The heated moisture is the cause to behave the wet bulb temperature to go
higher as the WBT is dependent upon the moisture temperature of the room.

Now as per your query if the sensible heat load is greater than 0 than the
inside air will have higher temperature to get cooled and hence there will
be sense of cooling load.
If the sensible load is smaller than 0 than there is requirement of heating.
Others input might also help.

*Thanks and Regards,*

Hi Konstantina,

The thing that you have found is the variable type in hourly report as
either space or thermal zone.

The hourly report is achieved after and according to this variable type.

If the variable type is space then the report would be as per space type
variable type.
Space is the variable type which can be suspected that the building shell
super-tab and the properties are as per space which henceforth has to be
chosen in the hourly result series menu. As per space mostly not the HVAC
but the room conductance and the occupancy based sensible and latent heat
gain are included which are in the listed menu like wise.
If you would want to inter prate from where all the hourly result series
menu have come then have a closer look at the box out come from the
building tab. Mostly the hourly result series menu can be got from the red
box made below.

Now if you want to understand the hourly result series menu from variable
type thermal zone then the properties are as per the box below which is
from the outcome of the Air-side HVAC super-tab.
The thermal zone is related to the hourly series report mainly from the
aspects in the red-box in the image given below.
The thermal zone variable type has the hourly result series menu have
properties like thermostat set-points, cooling, heating out-side air, zone
air temperature and so on.

Lastly the type space means from building shell space and thermal zone
means from Air side thermal zone.
Hope this might help.

Dear equest users,

I think I found the answer, for more information I neet to target at the
space...

And I have a question to add.
By equest Thermal Zone, means Space+Systems?

So if I need Space information, I have to follow the screenshot?

Thank you very much
