Existing Building vs New Building

Hello All,

I am trying to interpret LEED NC 2.2 EA Credit 1: Optimize Energy
Performance statements for new and existing building %.

I have a building which is 33% existing and 77% new construction. Do I
create two different energy models to come up with energy points?

Please advice. There is no where stated how to do this.

Thanks,

>From my experience LEED only wants to see one energy model for the
propose design. Also if your building is more than 50% new construction
then it falls under the new construction guide line unless there are
existing walls that are not being touch than you have to model those
walls as they are and that construction has has to carry over to your
baseline building. Hope that helps
