WSHP(Heating HW loop has zero design flow) vs PVVT, PSZ, etc

Hi,

I'm trying to model WSHP's served by Closed circuit Fluid Cooler and Boiler.
I get the below error if I use WSHP; I

I read the users archive from Bill Bishop, Umesh and others about WSHP approximations to PVVT or PSZ but when trying to run simulation it still kicks me out saying "zero design on the hhw loop" anything I'm missing?

Thanks,
Nikola

Do you have an additional hot water loop that you're no longer using still
in the file? This message usually pops up when a loop has no load on it,
thus during the sizing runs it gets assigned zero flow. This happened to a
model I was looking at the other day when a hot water loop served a VAV
reheat system but no Reheat DT had been defined, thus there was no load and
no flow.

Make sure the loop you have connected your system to is the correct type as
well.

I'm currently facing the exact same issue and have been looking for solutions all day. I don't have any solutions unfortunately, but I think that my issue is stemming from not being able to link the boiler to the heat pump. I can click and see the available options but can't choose any. Not sure if it's applying to you as well but if it is hopefully the rest of the readers can help both of us!

Change your condenser loop type from condenser to water source heat pump.
That will allow you to put both your boilers and your cooling tower on the
same loop. Then delete the hot water loop as it is not used in the model.

Brian, thank you for your valuable input.
The loop switch fixed the hhw loop error...

To be more specific regarding Brian's advice, the choice of the condenser
water loop is made under Air-Side HVAC > System > Cooling > Condenser >
CONDENSER-TYPE.

It's a little counter-intuitive for a heating system like a WSHP to assign
this under the Cooling tab..
