Using an Equip-Control as a Parametric Run

To the Royal order of eQuesters (and other such people):
I am trying to show savings from basically setting back a perimeter double duct system after hours. I believe I have it figures that I actually need to reset the Heat-Set-T, as a single fan DD system seems to only react to that set-point. I must then figure out how to shut off ther boiler on a nightly basis.
This of course would use the Equipment-Control and Load-Management. But what parameters within would be my change elements? The Flags? Has anyone ever set this up?

You can use an EQUIP-CTRL and LOAD-MANAGEMENT schedule of type SCHEDULED. It?s fairly straight forward in eQuest.

My apologies John, I am not fully understanding what you are trying to simulate.
To paraphrase, you are trying to show savings by implementing a heating set-back schedule during unoccupied hours. And, you want the boiler to shut off during those unoccupied hours when no heating is required?

Setting the heating loop LOOP-OPERATION = DEMAND-ONLY (as opposed to STANDBY) will run the boiler only when there is a call for heating.

Am I still missing something?

Hi Chris:
No apologies needed. Just to let you know, I have been doing eQuest for 10 years and DOE-2 for 35 years, so I am familiar with a few straight forward strategies such as you suggest. Let me elaborate on the entire situation and my "solution" (yes, I worked this weekend).
I have a two story structure with a lower level as well, about 280,000 sf. Some areas of the building are straight shot reheat systems - these go 24/7. Then there are areas in ALL levels that serve mainly offices that are not occupied all the time (and certainly not on weekends). These areas are served by single fan double duct systems.
My desire was to back off the double duct heating and cooling during off hours during the weekdays and completely on weekends.
Since a single fan double duct system will increase the heating for a reduction in cooling (and respond only to the HEAT-SET-T side), I first made the units dual fan (but not VAV). This separated the thermostats. So I then backed off on those during the off hours.
I also made two CIRCULATION-LOOPS for the 24/7 zones and the exterior office areas. I then shut off the exterior zones hot water circ pump when the spaces were not occupied.
And with this approach, I got the expected 165,000 kWh annual cooling savings and about 25% gas heating savings for the entire building. The setbacks are OK, as this building in the Southern California.
