Roofs in eQuest

Hey all,

Does anyone know how to model gable roofs in eQuest? I have a building that has some 1-, 2-, and 3-story parts, and some of the roofs are gabled in one direction and others in perpendicular directions. It appears the eQuest can only do a shed roof with a single slope? Thanks,

Try this for style. This roof was called out as a pitched roof in the DD
Wizard. I would call out the pitched roof in the DD Wizard on whatever
level you want the pitched roofs to be created. This one has a flat roof
created in shell 1 (floor 1) and pitched roofs in Shell 3 (floor 3).

See if that works for you.

Dan,

It looks like you can modify gable roofs if the footprint shape is
appropriate. See the screen prints below taken from within the DD
Wizard. You click on the pink bars to toggle between hip and gable roof
ends. The capability is limited, but better than just flat vs. sloped
roof.

Good find, Bill. I never saw that one.

I've always modified the angle of an exterior wall set above the
corresponding space and assigned it a roof construction in the Detailed
Interface; after deleting the original flat roof. Does this approach
seem illogical to anyone?
