Good afternoon,
I am trying to add a mixed air unit onto a four-pipe fan coil system through the use of a dummy zone, from which my real zones will get their outside air. I get the following error:
"EL1 Sys1 (FC) (G.E16) defined before its OA-FROM-SYSTEM. This will cause incorrect OA temperature calculation. Move this SYSTEM to be defined before its OA-FROM-SYSTEM in the project BDL input file."
The catch is that there is no BDL file, as the simulation aborts before it is complete. Is there another way to define the MAU before the Fan Coil System. I have searched a number of terms in the user's group and there are many questions related to this topic, but I can't find any answers. Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Kimberly Killian
actually, you need to move the OA-FROM SYSTEM to be defined first in the inp
file. You should have one of these.

Hi Kimberley,
I have recently dealt with this exact same problem. You need to move the
dummy zone system and zones in the .inp file you attached to the top of
the HVAC systems/zones list.
Hope this helps.
Dan.
Kimberly,
You need to make changes in the .inp file, not the bdl file. Cut the dummy MAU system in the .inp file and paste it before the Fan Coil System.
Good luck,

Kimberly,
You need to go into the inp file and change the location of the OA system
Hope this helps

Hello,
I'm modeling a building heated completely by cast iron radiators. I've tried modeling the system with hot water baseboard heating and I'm getting astronomical unmet heating hours.
Has anyone modeled this type of building successfully? (and if so could you point me in the right direction?)
Thanks,
Brian Gregory
Brian,
Under the airside systems, click on your zones that have the radiators and click the heating tab. You may want to change the baseboard control type from outside air reset to temperature.

Thanks guys that solved the problem.
