Difference between Max KW and Peak Enduse (PS-E report)

Hi all,

Does anyone know the difference between the Max KW and Peak enduse numbers
generated by the PS-E report.
We simulated the Baseline and Design case models with same equipment power
densities and operating schedules and are still seeing a difference in the
Peak end use energy of the building even though the annual KWH and the Max
KW (from the PS-E report) is the same.
Does anybody have an idea why this is happening?I have attached screenshots
of the 2 sim file reports.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

The other end-uses are changing in your proposed design, so your peak hour may be shifting. The peak contribution from the equipment is different, even while the total equipment load is identical in both cases.

It is likely that your proposed efficiencies shifted the peak electrical demand hour. The baseline shows July 20th for a peak, and the design case shows a August 28th peak. (Lower right corner.)

It may be associated to the coincidence of loads. Max kW should be the
installed power (the same in both cases), while peak demand is
associated to the simultaneous maxumum load. Your baseline and design
cases, even if they have the same annual energy consumption, may have a
different coincident peak because one of the lads (for example AC) is
displaced to a different peak hour.
