You can tell by clicking the building shell tab then the 3-D Geometry
Sub-tab while in the Detail Interface. Then hold the Control and right click
moving the mouse toward you until you zoom inside the building. Even if you
set up the wizard with 3 DWG floorplans and designated this zone as a 2+
space you still may see floors in your model of the atrium. You have to tell
E-quest that this zone is a direct return and no a plenum! We had to settle
for this as we couldn't get them to go away and the numbers for electrical
lighting made sense. Since you are looking at HVAC calcs your answer may not
make sense. Changing the ceiling height in the detailed interface speed
sheet should force it to read correctly although I have doubts as to the
programs ability to let air mix into adjacent spaces from the numerous
openings to the atrium space thru wide open doors and over railing
partitions. Anyone else have any trick up there sleeve? ? ? Lars, can
you also explain you interpolating process for your slanted roof.
