Modelling In EE4

Hello,

I am trying to use EE4 to do a preliminary model for a 50-storey MURB. As I am going through the model I realize that there is a lot of information I don't have (ie pump head, fan motor sizes, individual fancoil unit sizes, exhaust ERV sizes, ect.). Does EE4 have any auto-size capabilities? Is it a fool's errand to be trying to use EE4 to model at such an early stage to begin with? The problem is I am doing a compliance model to meet the new Ontario Building Code and in Toronto they only seem to accept DOE-2 based models. I think my only other option would be Equest but then I will have to create the reference model from scratch. CAN-Quest has been promised to us for a while now but has failed to materialize so far.

Question 2: Does anyone know what terminal type I select under the zone tab for standard fan coil units? I'm not sure if it should be baseboard, VAV-terminal, ect since none of them really seem to fit and EE4's help is very lacking. I've looked in the EE4 modelling guide and performance compliance for buildings as well to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike
