Hi all,
I have a question regarding miscellaneous loads in Design Development Wizard in eQUEST (Screen 20 of 25).
If we increase load in misc. for any of the spaces to let say 4 W/sq ft, the misc. equipment loads in BEPS report shifts to a very very high number.
Any idea, what all is contributing to such a high number.
Please note that there is no Water side HVAC involved.
Thanks,
Sunayana Jain
Misc equipment is calculated based on three things, area of the space,
intensity of the load, and the schedule. If you have a very large room, or a
very active schedule (24/7) then a number such as 4 w/sqft would greatly
increase your total load. Without knowing what equipment is in that space or
the area of the space it is impossible to determine if 4 w/sqft is a
reasonable number, but it certainly could be.

The miscellaneous loads are probably reporting out as equipment loads
FYI - 4W/ft2 is pretty high for equipment loads - unless your modeling a research lab type environment.
