eQuest T-24 Compliance with DOE 2.3

Hello all,

This is my first project dealing with a building in California. This is a complete office renovation that needs to be compliant with title 24. I started the project in version 3.65 build 7175 with DOE 2.3. I have a good portion of the building complete in detailed mode. The model freezes and closes every time I go to the project data tab in project properties and click CEC Title 24, August 2009 V1 from the dropdown of energy code compliance. Is there a way to run the compliance in DOE 2.3? I made a quick building in version DOE 2.2 to check and it worked fine. Do I need to convert the existing model to 2.2 to work? If so, how? I tried copying and pasting the INP file of 2.3 to 2.2 and it crashes too.

Is there an easy way around this or do I need to start from scratch? I already have about 40 hours into this model so I'm trying not to resort to this, but I keep running into road blocks with every attempt.

Also, I just tried to run the simulation and it took about four hours to get to 98% and then froze the computer. The file size is 61.7 gig.... The building isn't very large so I have no clue how the file got so large.

Sorry for sending this a third time, but I've not got an answer. Is there another forum and/or website that I could post this question on that would be more appropriate?

Thanks in advance,

Tom

Sorry to say that eQUEST is not currently a certified program for Title 24
compliance. You will need to use one of the programs listed on this page:
https://ww2.energy.ca.gov/title24/2016standards/2016_computer_prog_list.html
.

I'm not aware of a way to convert your eQUEST file for use in one of the
certified programs, but perhaps others know of a way you can save some time.

Erik

And I believe projects permitting after January 1 are subject to the 2019 Standards. The only currently available 2019 Non-Residential package that I have found is http://bees.archenergy.com/software2019.html . If others know better, please share.

EnergySoft has put 2019 Title 24 standards into EnergyPro version 8 but it is not yet certified.
