To run on Apple you would need to have VM ware- something not really
possible for an i-pad (changing operating systems would be tough)
Your best bet would be a windows device, but that may or may not work. (I
would guess it would not work, but the only real possibility would be a
windows OS pad)
Don't do it. I have an iPad and you really only want it for project
management. I tried to use REVIT on it with screen sharing and it's very
clunky. You also need a Wi-Fi connection to make screen sharing worthwhile,
so using it in 3G can become cumbersome.
My IT guy is touting a scheme where an iPad (or similar device) can be used
to access a remote, cloud based computer resulting in the ability to "drive"
that computer from your iPad. It is kind of like a "Go to My Computer"
arrangement but based out of a dedicated data center (I do not know all the
ins and outs). Equest would not need to be loaded on the iPad - but as long
as you have internet, you can have Equest. In fact, almost all computing
needs can be organized that way and all that's needed is the iPad.
Just an added comment. If you use 3G your data plan will go very fast, so if
you are in a Wi-Fi scenario just buy a good light laptop for production.

or any other production tool, but you are not going to produce from an iPad
as of yet, not until it's computing power increases. Not the way you need to
produce in an architecture firm. I've tested this and I use cloud connect if

powerpoint, word, excel other project management tools it is excellent, but
for production not wise. If you just want one just to have one, get it, but
if it's about production I would wait or get a smaller production laptop.

tested this. Maybe in another few months or so this will be viable or on the
iPad 4.
I have dabbled using a cloud based App from my phone to access eQuest on a desktop. I have found that is not very useful unless you are solely using it to show final results. Building a model would be very tough (if not impossible because of the touch screen limitations) and time consuming. However, to answer your question, yes it is possible.
