Does anyone have any good established references for energy consumption
benchmarks in live/work conditions for residential buildings?

Many thanks in advance,

Although I don't have the information, I can say that this will not be
found in the majority of state or local government benchmarking ordinance
data, some of which is publicly available.
For an international perspective this is a tool to start your search, and
you can add all jurisdictions and filter by "deadline - single family." In
the US you may have luck with some multifamily, but may be hard to collect
attributes that you may be interested in knowing.

The State of California requires commercial buildings benchmarked that are 50,000 sq.ft and above by June 30 of this year. They apply to owned or leased buildings. The City of los Angels and San Francisco have similar ordinances.
How these are displayed or available to the public is something for you to research.
