Dear All,
We solved two separate cases to study the effect of window "shade type"
(Ref. Blind/Drapes-Switching in eQUEST) on annual cooling energy
consumption.
Case 1 - Fixed Interior "shade type"
Case 2 - Fixed Exterior "shade type"
eQUEST Results showed same annual cooling energy consumption in both these
cases.
Actually, heat input to the room should be lower for Case 2 (Fixed Exterior)
than Case 1 (Fixed Interior). So, there should be difference in the energy
consumption in these cases i.e. lower cooling energy consumption for Case 2
as compared to Case 1.
Please share your experience with window shading.
Thank You
Regards
Prasad
