Hello,
We have an EE4 model that we wish to check against NECB. Can anyone suggest a procedure for this?
My initial thought was to create a second model, where the Proposed Building is manually set to match the NECB requirements, then compare the original Proposed Building to the NECB Proposed Building.
However, I am wondering if I can manually modify the Reference Building to match the NECB requirements using a DOE work-around.
Thank you,

Creating a second EE4 Proposed building as the Reference case would
get around having to modify the Reference case .DOE file. If you
modify the .DOE reference file, you have to run the file from the
command line. Matching the Reference case HVAC systems requirements
will be the biggest challenge, see Table 8.4.4.8.A and Table 8.4.4.8.B.

Hell Brian,
In NECB there a procedure for reference case in section 8.
You will have to model using either eQuest,
CanQuest or EE4 a reference case with section 8
procedure to compare with the proposed.
Soon we should have a CanQuest version that will compare to NECB
Hope this help

Please note Section 8 does not mention any particular software. There are
other options beyond eQuest, EE4 or CanQuest.
