Experience Modeling Ceramic Insulation Coating

Hello - I am attempting to define the parameters of ceramic insulation
coating as an energy efficiency measure for the envelope. Think Cool roofs
but for the entire envelope. Does anyone have any experiences they can
share in modeling Ceramic Insulation Coating? I am unsure how to proceed.

Hi Michael,
We discussed this a few years ago on the eQUEST-users forum. http://energy-models.com/forum/ceramic-insulating-paint-additives#comment-11419
Research and anecdotes question the value of "ceramic insulation" paints. It is doubtful that they impact R-value in any meaningful way.
You can try modeling it by varying the absorptance and/or emissivity of the wall, if the product you are considering provides those values.
