Around the launch of bldg-sim, I committed to a career in energy conservation. At the time I was challenged about how I could be excited about conservation when a therm of natural gas costs less than a can of coke. Still in it and here is the jagged history since then. Guess to yourself what year I nodded along as an owner scrapped their gas fired absorption chiller.
