Detail Data Edit Mode Keeping Record of Changes

Hi

I was looking for an answer to the following question in archives but could
not found. I am sorry if I am repeating the same story. I have an e-quest
model for review which was modeled by the engineer from another firm.
Basically Client wants to check if the model was modeled correctly. The
model which I have is in detail data edit mode. Now the question how do I
come to know what parameters were changed by the engineer in detail mode.
There are so many values to enter and change.

This also applies my own models how do I keep record what changes I have
made in detail mode? Is there any way to separate changes made by the user
in detail mode. Thanks you

Regards,

The easiest way to look for changes is to use a text editor with a "file
compare" function on the .inp file. (One of the benefits of the model
data stored in text format.) UltraEdit is the one I use but I'm sure
there are lots of others.

First prize would be something like a wiki which recorded changes an the
user responsible but I have not seen a setup like that.

You probably know this already - Anything that you see in red/blue
color is the data entered by the modeler. If you right click on it and
say restore default, you will know what the original value is.
Definitely time consuming, if everything is red/blue.

Just one follow up point - if something is in blue it means it?s a user defined default value and it will not change when you select restore default. You will need to select the edit/view user default option and select "Use DOE2 default"

This said, you also have to consider that what comes from the Wizard is also user input.
It is just not enough to track changes made in the detailed data edit mode to assess the quality of a model.
