Hello all,

I am designing a building that is built on top of a slope or incline
grade, so part of the basement's exterior walls are exposed the
ambient conditions and part of it is underground. In Equest how do
you input the area that basement of the building is being covered by
the earth to simulate this incline surface? Attached is a simplified
drawing that illustrates what Im describing.

Hi Justin,

See discussion and illustration below. Don't miss Jame's commentary
though ;).

Justin,

In the wizard, define a basement level for the building. Once you're
through with the Wizard, switch to DD edit mode. You'll need to create new
polygons for the existing underground wall surfaces, and create exterior
walls to attach to the relevant rooms in the basement, and you'll also need
polygons for those new exterior walls.

There should be some fairly detailed descriptions of the process in the
(searchable) equest-users archive.
