Presentation Proposals are Due February 9th.

The *2018 Building Performance Analysis Conference and SimBuild*
, co-organized by ASHRAE and IBPSA-USA,
will be held September 26-28, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois.

Researchers, practitioners and building modeling professionals are invited
to submit presentation/session proposals that can be 15-90 minutes in
length and can cover a broad range of topics addressing the needs of the
building performance modeling community. Creativity in presentation format
and audience engagement is strongly encouraged.

Submit your proposals before *Friday, February 9, 2018.*

Submitters will submit a presentation title, duration of presentation,
speaker information and a 100 word abstract. They will choose their
presentation type from the following list:

1. Team Case Studies: (15 min, 25 min, 45 min, 60 min or 90 min)
Coordinated presentation from several members of high performance building
design projects. The abstract should include a detailed description of the
project, design goals, modeling challenges, performance benchmarks used and
experiences from all stages of design, construction and operation. Also
identify the team members and include brief descriptions of their role in
the project and the presentation.
2. Individual Presentations: Traditional seminar type PowerPoint
presentation on topics of interest to the conference
attendees. Presentation duration is 15 minutes.
3. Pecha-Kucha: Visually compelling presentations with a maximum limit
of 30 slides, each slide being presented in 30 seconds with a recommended
limit of 30 words per slide (unlimited images sans text).
4. TEDergy Talk: Similar to the popular TED (Technology, Entertainment
and Design) talk presentations, TEDergy talk is intended to address a
specific novel idea, new modeling technique, workflow, software utility or
technology in a concise 10 minute presentation to generate audience
interest and participation.

- Modeling Advances (New techniques, scripting, etc.)
- Early Design Modeling and Analysis
- Multiple Systems Modeling
- Health, Wellness and Comfort
- Energy Performance and System Simulation (including existing
buildings, model calibration)
- Codes, Standards and Compliance Modeling
