Daylighting Training at Harvard: July 9-11 2014

1 post / 0 new

Dear colleagues:

As in previous years, we will be offering a three day Executive Education Program on Daylighting Buildings at Harvard from July 9-11, 2014.

Course participants will be exposed to a range of design analysis techniques ranging from rules-of-thumb to computer simulations and high dynamic range photography for glare analysis. The main simulation program used will be DIVA, a Rhino plug-in for Radiance/Daysim and EnergyPlus. The first two days will consist of formal instructions, in-class discussions, hands-on software tutorials, and exercises. Participants will also be given the opportunity to calibrate their personal digital cameras to take physically based high dynamic range photographs of their favorite spaces. During the last day, participants will be given the opportunity to apply the newly acquired analysis techniques to ongoing projects of their own.

I am looking forward to seeing some of you in Cambridge. Best,

Christoph
