Daikin Equipment

Does anyone have experience modeling Daikin or equivalent equipment?
Specifically regarding the 23 stage modulation of refrigerant flow,
scroll compressor (or equivalent) in simultaneous heating/cooling mode
of compressors, etc. I would appreciate opinions (positives/negatives)
of the equipment and an eQuest BDL System description if possible.

There has been significant discussion about this topic if you search the
archives. There is no way to model these systems in DOE2. People have
tricked the system (removing fan power, adding pumping power, etc.), but
the only program that is able to model VRV systems right now is Energy
Pro.

That's not completely true...Trace 700 has a VRV system option. We've
considered using it in lieu of eQUEST for those projects using this
technology.

I am modelling a small building with packaged roof top units with gas
fired heating sections. The units have a two stage option available
but the product literature does not include any efficiency numbers to
compare the single stage to the two stage burners. Any thoughts?
