Hello building design simulator
What do you think about Design Builder software (http://designbuilderusa.com/) for building Envelope analyses, anybody has any experience working or dealing with it ? any thoughts, comets and reviews are welcomed.

My experience with design builder has been very positive.
Benefits:
Excellent drawing tool
Customizable construction libraries
Produces working IDF files that can be edited in Energy Plus
Negatives
Does not have up to date ASHRAE libraries
Does not produce compliance reports
(these issues may be solved in the near future)

Hi Alex,
I have been using DesignBuilder for over a year now. Its nice front end user-interface for EnergyPlus.
Positives:
Excellent drawing tool
Good graphical interface
USerfriendly interface; co-ordinate and logic-driven
Negatives:
Does not have all simulation capabilities of Energyplus; for ex. detailed HVAC. This has been taken care of in the newer version though
